OCC Moderncraft Collection

Hi ladies! Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is known for their unique and wacky liquid lipsticks, and their most recent collection Moderncraft is no different. There are a total of 6 stellar shades that you can mix and match to create your own unique color! I picked out 4 that appealed to me the most, and let’s be honest, I’m a sucker for strange colors. I am a huge fangirl for the brand, so anything they put out can do no wrong in my book! Lipstick junkies, prepare to be amazed!

Left to Right: Sebastian, Dekadent, Black Metal Dahlia, Anita

Sebastian- Plum-toned taupe Not exactly the color I think of when I hear the word Sebastian…thanks to The Little Mermaid! Nevertheless, the color is eccentric and made for anyone who loves OCC’s out of this world shades. Feel free to mix and match this with your favorite lipsticks, or burst out of your shell and wear it on its own!

Dekadent- Translucent Crushed Blueberry The stained gloss liptars are a great option if you’re a bit intimidated by their regular formula. I love how juicy and healthy my lips look when wearing these, not to mention how lovely the color is! Easily a great topper for your dryer lipsticks, or wear it alone if you want it to be sheer :)

Black Metal Dahlia- Blackened Burgundy with Red Pearl Oh my metallic shimmery goodness! There are no words to describe my love for this bad ass color! This has Autumn written all over it. Prepare to be complimented when wearing this color, I got so many questions about what I was wearing on my lips.

Anita- Browned Burgundy I’m usually not for lipsticks that have a lot of brown in them, but I surprisingly adore it! It has the right mixture of brown and burgundy- it’s a statement color that looks excellent with a couple coats of mascara and some foundation.

Some tips on how to apply Liptars Their matte formula has some of the most amazing colors, however, if you have any dryness it could turn into a disaster! So before hand make sure you exfoliate by applying lip balm and use a Qtip and rub back and forth on your lips. To take it even further, apply a lip primer like Too Faced lip insurance pencil, or MAC Prep and Prime lip primer, etc. These will also smooth out any lines or wrinkles that may be on your lips, also adding a bit of hydration. Now it’s time to apply your liptar! Start out by applying a small dot on a palette or your hand. And when I small, I mean really small! A lot of people apply way too much and it ends up bleeding and getting on your face. Start in the center and work your way out, take your time and practice makes perfect!
